1st Jan

Hey, it's a new year! again! time flies, really.

Okay, now to a more serious note...
What is justice? I shall direct this question to all Liverpool FC fans who think that Steven Gerrard didn't commit any crime even though he apparently assaulted somebody at a club. Why shouldn't he be punished for his immature behaviour? Is it because he is the "best midfielder in the world" currently? Or is it that the British authorities are all liverpool fans? And what irks me even more is the fact that Rafael Benetiz, the not-exactly-a-winner, gave Steven Gerrard his full-est support. I have a strong feeling that our beloved best-midfielder-in-the-world will be let off the hook, for the mere reason that he is an entertainer on the football stage.

I pray that he get jailed like what happened to Joey Barton.

Okay, I shan't be so negative anymore. It's New Year!

Happy New Year to everyone!!

29th Dec

Great, my cable TV failed on me. That means no EPL, no HBO, no Star World, and no VJAY channel. Damn, I'll miss that channel. So last Sunday, I had to occupy myself with the mundane programmes of Channel 5. And there was this movie called Little Secrets which was screened in the afternoon. Guess what, the lead actress of the film was damn pretty, in my opinion. BUT HEY, I still think Taylor Swift is number 1 okay. It's just that I'm now kinda infactuated with Evan Rachel Woods. Oh gosh, she is a real beauty. She has great looks, great figure but her taste for guys is quite lousy actually.

Here's a picture of the gorgeous Jewish beauty:

Ravishly beautiful, isn't she? So currently, she's having a really tough fight with Taylor Swift for the No.1 spot on my Hottest Female Celebreties.

I guess it's a blessing in disguise when my cable TV broke down. Way to go!!

27th Dec

Hey! I just came back from Australia and the place was beautiful, to say the least. The beach was gorgeous, so were the ladies and babes :P Everything was great! I had a wonderful time with my family at theme parks, at the beach. Aussie girls are pretty, really. Haha, me and my wishful thoughts. The thing I'll probably miss most is the fact that I don't have anything to worry about when I was in Australia. Nothing, mind ya, nothing. And I totally enjoyed ogling. Alright, enough of the beach babes and hotties and bikinis. The theme parks were the highlights of the trip, especially DreamWorld and Whitewater World where the Aussies don't wear as much :D I love that a lot, but it was hard to express myself since I was there with my family. Haha, but yeah, apart from the babes, life in Australia is very carefree as compared to that of Singapore. What's the difference? Hmph, a helluva difference I tell you. I really do appreciate that my parents brought us there. Bless them.

I came back from Australia yesterday late in the evening. And I was welcomed home by a unprecedented knock in the head off the table edge. What did I do wrong? I was just removing my shoes and when I stood up, BAMM...my head started to bleed profusely. Rivers of blood gushes out of my scalp, scaring the wits out of my parents. Nah, it ain't so serious. My head just bled rather sparsely. But still, it's a pretty unfortunate thing that my head bled. Why aren't we born with eyes on the back of our head??? I got the kind of welcome gift most people will not accept.

OH OH MERRY BELATED CHRISTMAS TO ALL. Hope everyone has enjoyed a gorgeous christmas like I did when I walked down the streets of Australia on the 25th!!

I just spent my afternoon watching The Duchess. Quite a nice movie. There were some erotic parts but nothing obscene. Wow, I have to say that Kiera Knightley really is a good actress. It was a bit like The Other Boleyn Girl.

I came across this really interesting article about teenage sex...and breakfast.
Researchers in Japan have found out that no breakfast will lead to earlier sex. Nope, you didn't hear me wrongly. They could actually come up with such a theory. Read the article.
http://news.sg.msn.com/lifestyle/article.aspx?cp-documentid=1855377
The way the researchers link no breakfast to earlier sex is utterly stupid, I should say. Unbelievably dumb and lame. Lame is the word to use. Sex, in my opinion (and I believe many others' too), is a choice of one's will. It's up to oneself to decide whether he/she wants an earlier sex, unless he/she is unfortunately an unwilling party. Breakfast has absolutely nothing to teenage sex. If it has, lots of people in Singapore will be jailed for underage sex by now. Nothing to argue here. Absolutely nothing.

Oh well, I'm going to my grandma's house now. Happy belated christmas once again!! :D

15th Dec

Okay, things are getting tough now.

Now that Xu Ying is back and training, competition is intense. His return is great, really. Great for the entire team. I am so glad that he came back. But if only I don't have that lingering knee pain, I would have been one of the 09 probables. Okay, fine, I am worried. I am worried about my knee injury hitting real hard on me. I am worried about not performing well during training. I am worried about not competing next year. I know I should not be worrying too much and I swear I will stop worrying so much. But let me lament a little. It's tough coping with my injury. And this injury doesnt go away that easily. Even though my chances are rather limited now because of my knee injury, I promise I will fight back. Shit god damn I will. Maybe I'm ranting about all these because of sir's blog, but I hope this drive to fight back stays in him. I guess that's sir's intention in making the segregation in the team that way.

Hopefully, my chances will not take a dive when I tell sir that I am leaving for Australia for a week. One whole week away for training seems long enough now. But it's a family obligation and I will love to go Australia again. I just cannot feel at ease about leaving training and everything. However, I'll see what I can do overseas. Maybe let my knee rest, eh?

Welcome back Xu Ying. You're doing real well :D

P.S. I aint giving up yet, you know.

Yipee, my mum bro and sis are back from Langkawi. And my poor cousin, got bitten by mosquitos on the eye and the ear. Mighty OUCH!!

Anyway, today was the NTUC Book Giveaway thingy. I was there as a volunteer but I didnt do no shit. It was freaking boring and rather pointless. But I realised how morally upright Siheng was. Well, he's morally upright in a good sense. Totally slack CIP for me cos I am a slacker who does no shit but slack in the classroom ha.

So tired. So tired..

7th Dec

yay. Man U won Sunderland 1-0. An intense match. The result was only decided at the very last minute, literally. It was a brilliant 30 yard attempt from Michael Carrick, followed by an easy Vidic tap-in. I didnt watch the match, but the I did watch the highlights. Berbatov had so many chances, especially that header. Grrr, what a poor finish. And I forsee that Man U will not take away 3 points at White Hart Lane. This is apparent because we will have to miss 3 key players: Patrice Evra and Wayne Rooney through suspension, and of course our European Footballer of the Year Cristiano Ronaldo, who got a bang in the hip during the Sunderland match. Damn, three on form players. It's all right, we still have Carrick, Fletcher, Anderson, Park, Ferdinand, Vidic, Rafael, Berbatov (er...maybe not) and TEVEZ. Tevez played for a meagre 30 mins for Man U last night but he still added firepower to the team's attack. I have no idea why Fergie likes to bench him so much, maybe it's because of his sarcastic comments he made against the English game earlier this year about the EPL depriving him of flaunting his creativity. But nevertheless, I hope Tevez gets to play first team football with increasing regularity. We are still title chasers man.

I'm gonna get philosphical today. I'm gonna talk about Trust:

Trust applies in everything you say, everything you do, everything you here, everyone you meet, so on and so forth. There is an element of Trust in everything. Let me give you an example. When you go to the barber, you are giving him your Trust to give you a neat haircut. This may seem to be a stupid example, but it just shows that Trust applies to almost everything. When you tell the barber you want a haircut, you're giving him your Trust. And when he cuts your hair with the scissors or trim your hair with the shaver, he is performing the job you have trusted him to do. So the responsibility of upholding this Trust is on the shoulders of the barber. And what if he made a mistake and give you a terrible haircut? Is he breaking the Trust? Yes he is, regardless of whether it's intentional or unintentional. So let's say that after he broke that Trust by screwing up your hair, you make a big fuss over it. Well, there is nothing one can do after a screwed-up haircut. It's just your day. You just have to be patient and wait for your hair to grow. But because the barber made a mistake, should you give him a second chance? Or should you find another barber who MAY (I emphasise) give you a better haircut? I say you give the poor guy a second chance. And if he performs well next time and gives you the kind of hairstyle you yearn for, the barber slowly gains back the Trust he had lost the previous time. Nevertheless, the barber will not be able to earn back that kind of Trust he had last time. Because when you blow it first time, there is no turning back. You can only look ahead and pray for the future. There is no turning back, definitely not. What done is done. And what the barber should do is to slowly gain his credibilty back, step by step. He should think of the future and forget about the unhappy past. Think positive, eh?

Oh, I got a haircut today. haha, and I don't have any qualms about it. I have so many thoughts running through my head recently. And things don't look very bright. But still, I have to think positively, like the barber, right?

5th December

I had a time trial this morning. I thought I had a good chance to record a PB. But unexpectedly, my bowels failed on me. I guess it was yesterday's dinner that made me feel like shitting. Sigh, I believed that I was running at a considerably good pace. Nevertheless, I was quite satisfied because I ran (and walked) 8km, which is a great feat for my legs. I really do hope that I will achieve a better timing.

GO WEILUN!!

3th Dec 2009

Sigh. What good times we had in Beijing.

I went for my first training since I came back from Beijing, and to say the truth, I am nothing but disappointed. It was supposed to be extensive intervals today but guess what, I gave up after the first 1km. How pathetic, eh? To be honest, I was rather disappointed because just now was the first time I felt both knees hurt simultaneously. I could see how disappointed siheng was, you know. I really wish to do well, maybe not as much as I wanted to when I was Sec2. But still, I hope to do well for cross and track. And damn the injury. I pray so hard that these injuries go off as quickly as they come. Please!!

That's pretty much about training. Fullstop because I didnt really do much...

After training, sean, fang, yonghwee, irvin, lester, josh and I went out for lunch. A normal meal. Nothing special actually, but I really enjoyed the time together. Feels a bit like when we are in Beijing.

I STILL MISS BEIJING!!!
